PlateClarity stores the information needed to run your nutrition ledger: account details, food text, food photos or photo-derived estimates, item breakdowns, weigh-ins, daily closeouts, goals, healthy-food settings, usage counters, support messages, and billing identifiers.
How food logs are processed
When you send food text or photos, the service may send that content to the configured AI provider to estimate calories, protein, optional carbs and fat, and healthy-food calories. Exact nutrition facts you provide are kept as your source of truth. Estimates can be wrong, and you can correct entries in the app or chat.
Connected services
Telegram is used for chat-based logging when you link a bot chat. Stripe handles checkout, subscription status, invoices, and payment details. Resend may deliver account, reset, verification, and support emails. Hosting and DNS providers may process standard server logs needed to operate and secure the service.
Cookies and security
The web app uses an HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in and security tokens to protect account actions. API keys, bot tokens, and payment secrets are stored server-side, not in the browser.
Your controls
You can export your account data or request account deletion from settings. Deletion removes your food logs, weigh-ins, daily closeouts, usage counters, pending account tokens, and Telegram links, then disables login and revokes active sessions. Billing, security, abuse-prevention, support, or legal records may be retained only when needed to operate the service and meet provider obligations.
Limits
Do not use the service for emergencies, medical diagnosis, or treatment decisions. The service is not intended for children under 13. We do not sell personal nutrition logs.
